Mahjong Grandmas

Last week I saw my Grandma at my Mom and Aunt's birthday celebration. She told us that she played with Richard's grandma the previous day and was so exhausted today (they are long time mahjong buddies). When I asked how long they played, she exclaimed, "We played from 10am to 10pm and ate 2 meals in between!" They usually bring their own little bien dang (lunch boxes) and when it's time to eat, they take a small break and heat up their food. Amazing that these 85/90+ year old little ladies can gamble for 12 hours straight. Straight up Gangster. :)

New Year's Resolutions

For the most part my new year's resolutions (mine and everyone) has/always will consist of 1. exercise more/lose weight/be healthier. I have to say 2011, I actually accomplished this goal (feels really good to say that). I have slacked over the holidays, but I plan to get back on the fitness wagon in the New Year.

In addition...

1. Make the bed everyday. 

2. Read more books, watch less TV. Enrich thy brains.

3. Be more decisive. Make decisions without regrets. 

4. Blog more. 

5. Make extra efforts to spend more time with family and friends. 

6. Exercise/lose weight/be healthier.

Lost my cousin's grandma at age 102, one of the kindest, most caring persons I have ever known

Tried to revive the azaleas in front of our house (partial success)
Both of my dear cubemates moved away
Trip to San Antonio for Steve's graduation
Three weddings, lots of friends getting engaged
Year of lockouts (NFL, NBA)
Game of Thrones badassness
LOTR marathon nights with the hubby
Discovered the wonders of professional massages
End of an era: Yao retires, Nawlin's closes


2011, for the most part you have been really good to me. Here's to 2012, shall you be even better.
